London Networking Event - Networking Evening in Mayfair

Urbano Network hosts a varied calendar of weekly London networking events, including networking evenings. This networking evening is open to members and non-members.

Our evening events are hosted in a range of partner venues drawn from some of London's finest bars, members' clubs, and other venues, a diverse mix of business owners, directors and senior managers from across the various sectors represented across our membership.

The atmosphere is famously informal, friendly and even fun, or as an Urbano Member describes it, "Urbano is an enjoyable way to meet serious businesses looking to do business!".

About Vins Extraordinaires

Vins Extraordinaires was founded by Stuart George in 2016 to enable fine and rare wines to be enjoyed by private and corporate clients. Having started his wine career 20 years ago working alongside the Master of Wine and former Christie’s Senior Consultant Anthony Hanson, Stuart has always appreciated and enjoyed fine wine.

A holder of the prestigious Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma in Wine and Spirits since 2000, Stuart has tasted vintages back to 1780. He was UK Young Wine Writer of the Year in 2003 before working with Hugh Johnson OBE at The World of Fine Wine magazine, which won several awards during his time there. Stuart was Image Editor and lead contributor to the best-selling 1001 Wines You Must Try Before You Die and Editor of the award-winning The Finest Wines of Tuscany and The Finest Wines of Champagne. 

He is a sought-after wine show judge for his experienced and fastidious palate: Stuart has been the sole UK representative at the Shanghai International Wine Challenge; the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in Chile; the Austrian Wine Challenge; and the 21st Concorso Enologico Internazionale in Italy.

Our Wine List for the evening

During our networking evening, Vins Extraordinaires will be serving generous amounts of their “house wine” Domaine Vintur, owned by English businessman Graham Shore since 2010. 

The Southern Rhône location in Provence, near Mont Ventoux, is ideal for producing high quality fruit, thanks to a combination of Provençal sunshine, mistral winds, and limestone/clay soil. The Southern Rhône has a history of wine making dating back to the ancient Greeks, who brought over and planted the first vines, and the Romans, who expanded the vineyards.

Domaine Vintur Le Gentleman AOC Ventoux is a classic Southern Rhône red blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. Aged in tank for 20 months, with a light touch of oak ageing, and perfect for drinking now. It won a Gold Medal at the 2013 Concours des Vins AOC Ventoux.

Domaine Vintur White Tradition AOC Ventoux is s fresh, savoury white wine with a rich aroma. It’s a blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, and Roussanne matured in stainless steel for sixteen months, with a fifth of the blend fermented and aged in new French oak barrels. It won a Gold Medal at the 2017 Concours des Vins AOC Ventoux.

Delicious cheeses are supplied by their friends at Cows and Co. They are a group of like-minded artisan cheese producers, farmers, and entrepreneurs who are passionate about making premium quality artisan cheese with the milk from their herd of Ayrshire cows in the beautiful Galloway hills in Dumfriesshire. cowsandco.com

Towards the end of the evening we will enjoy a “blind tasting” of something a bit special and old...
