London Build panel event on SMEs & the new Procurement Act

For over 20 years, Mark Herring, Urbano's Connector-In-Chief, has championed the role of SMEs in procurement, encouraging micro and small businesses to look for new business opportunities in the public sector, while challenging larger organisations to ensure SMEs are included in money spent on projects and supply chains.

Urbano produces a weekly tenders list where we find and distribute opportunities for SMEs to bid for work from organisations within the public sector. We also host events with large companies, like Mace, AECOM and ARUP, to act as a catalyst to opportunities to become part of supply chains and help members win work on public projects in transport, infrastructure, construction, software and design.

As the new Procurement Act becomes law this autumn, Mark is chairing a session at London Build entititled: The New Procurement Act & Opportunities for SMEs - Turning Words Into Actions, featuring panellists from both sides of construction-sector procurement.
