For the past three years, Mark Herring, Urbano's MD, has been bringing together audiences to hear high-profile speakers from the world of building, property and the built environment and network with companies across the sector.

Previous presenters have included The Minister for Architecture, the Chairs of CABE and BURA, Martha Schwartz (landscape architect), Theis + Khan and many others.

Urbano Build is a programme of regular networking events and online network for architects, developers, property investors, designers, interior designers, landscapers and other professionals associated with the built envinment sector to connect, gather information, create associations and alliances, and build a community based on mutual encouragement and shared market knowledge to help each business survive and thrive.

Our events are always very informal and relaxed, with plenty of time to network with the other attendees who either own, run or hold senior positions in their companies.

Urbano's philosophy is that each attendee should look to pass a 'packet of value' to everyone they meet. These packets of value can be a piece of information, a promise to meet afterwards or make an introduction, or a host of post-event commitments that each specific conversation encourages.

In this way, each encounter is longer and more valuable than a room full of business people trying to sell to one another. You leave the event with plenty of such 'packets of value' and, of course, your own commitments to the other attendees. The Urbano website also supports these exchanges as some may be some time in the future and so the event is a catalyst to real and lasting business benefits.

About our speaker

Jackie Sadek is Chief Executive of UK Regeneration. Jackie Sadek started her career in regeneration at the London Docklands Development Corporation before joining Stanhope plc, where she worked on projects including Broadgate and Kings Cross.

She has lead a number of large scale projects in the public and private sectors, notably Kent Thameside and Park Royal, before serving as Head of Regeneration for CB Richard Ellis.
 
Jackie has more than 20 years' experience in development, managing large-scale urban regeneration projects and public-private sector partnerships.

She will be speaking on Regeneration in the present economic climate and the roles for SMEs in regeneration projects.
