London networking event - Build networking breakfast with Dan Hopwood

Urbano Build is a programme of regular networking events in London aimed at architects, developers, property investors, designers, interior designers and other professionals associated with the built environment sector to make connections, gather information, create associations and find new business opportunities.

Urbano Build breakfast events are stripped down conferences, exploring interesting themes and built around great speakers, where the the focus is on networking and creating connections and opportunities. You always meet a diverse range of businesses and their representatives in a lively session of informal but facilitated networking.

Urbano loves to showcase leading British talent and innovators, alongside those shaping the future of the Built Environment sector. Previous Build speakers have included Kevin McCloud, Wayne Hemingway, Loyd Grossman (Heritage Alliance), Jane Duncan (new RIBA President), Casey Rutland (ARUP BIM Lead), Ed Green (Cabinet Office Procurement), Stephen Hodder (Ex RIBA President ), Mark Bew and David Philp (Govt BIM Team), lead representatives of ARUP, CCS, CITB, and Jackie Sadek, CEO of UK Regeneration, amongst others.

ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER

Daniel Hopwood has run one of London’s leading interior design companies, Studio Hopwood, for twenty years, working on high end residential properties. Dan trained as an architect before joining the Prince of Wales Institute of Architecture where he gained a classical training. 

Daniel is also past President of the British Institute of Interior Design (the leading industry body for professional interior designers) and presenter and judge on the BBC's ‘The Great Interior Design Challenge’.

Daniel's presentation will look at his approach and principles behind a range of his interior design projects, as well as advising on how developers, architects, builders and other construction professionals can get the best from interior designers to enhance their own new build, refurbishment and residential projects.

In an interactive presentation and Q&A, he will also look at present and upcoming design trends, as well as what has helped deliver the success of his own studio.

This event is open to any business, but especially for architects, interior designers, planners, developers and those across the build and property sector.

Established in 1970, they employ over 165 personnel at their Head Office and Manufacturing Facility in Leighton Buzzard and London showroom. The Edge Design collection has a dedicated in-house design team who constantly develop new product ideas in response to market trends and requirements. They also works in partnership with a number of designers to enhance their products and allow fresh input in development.
