Wives and Sweethearts: Love Letters Sent During Wartime

On Wednesday 17th September 2014, Dr. Alistair Massie, co-author and Head of Academic Access at the National Army Museum, will explain how love thrived and endured during the First and Second World Wars in his new book, 'Wives and Sweethearts: Love Letters Sent During Wartime'.

Alastair will be drawing from the book's 50 stories to provide fascinating insights into love during the two World Wars. Discover the fears, doubts and joys of generations of soldiers and the profound effect on the personal relationships of soldiers, their partners and families during these global conflicts.
