For most of July, our Muslim brothers and sisters have been fasting for Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.
Next week, Eid al-Fitr will mark the end of Ramadan, and we're holding an afternoon of Eid celebration for families and friends on Sunday 3rd August from 3pm until 5pm at Dishoom Covent Garden. Here's what's in store...
HIGH TEA — We'll serve a plentiful High Tea with Chai, Bombay snacks, Sheer Khurma and Mithai.
MUSIC — There'll be a live acoustic set from Rocky Bahadur and his band ABBRR.
CALLIGRAPHY — Talented calligrapher Samir Malik can capture your name in beautiful Arabic script.
HENNA — Girls and ladies will love having traditional Mehndi (henna) painted on their hands.
EIDIE — Children can pick a gift from our special lucky dip!
PAAN — We'll be hand-making fragrant parcels of Meetha Paan (a popular Indian digestive).
Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children (the entire ticket price will be donated to a local charity for the homeless).
