Peer to Peer Lending and Crowd Funding Seminar

Over the last year we have held three very successful Angel Investment Seminars, and we are pleased to announce we will be holding another event. This seminar will focus on peer to peer lending and crowd funding, and our speakers are from two of the biggest companies in these fields within the UK. They will explain why they have filled the gap left by the banks, how businesses can raise finance via their platforms and how investing in businesses is now available to everyone with the possibility of getting a tax rebate from HMR&C as a bonus. Speaker Profile: Jeff Lynn

Jeff is the CEO and Co-founder of Seedrs, an online platform for investing in start-ups. Launched in 2012, Seedrs is the first such platform in the world to obtain regulatory approval and has dozens of EIS and SEIS businesses looking for investment at any given time.

Jeff is a qualified lawyer with extensive experience in the worlds of corporate transactions and early-stage businesses. He also serves as the Chairman of The Coalition for a Digital Economy (Coadec) and has acted as a strategic adviser to several startups.

Speaker Profile: Laura McMullen

Laura is the Director of Business Development at Funding Circle and heads up the sales and marketing activity for the intermediary division. Since joining, Laura has been instrumental in growing this channel for Funding Circle across the UK. Funding Circle is an online marketplace where UK businesses can borrow finance directly from real people. The first ever marketplace of its kind in the UK, Funding Circle has facilitated over £100 million of loans to over 1,700 businesses since its inception in 2010.
