Responsible Sourcing Training

Responsible Sourcing has become an increasingly popular term not only in construction and the built environment but in a wider societal context. The focus on supply chain transparency and traceability is becoming a reality for CIOB members. This one day course will introduce the concepts relating to responsible sourcing including management systems, supply chain transparency, and organisational issues like waste, water, carbon and others.

Course overview

By the end of the course, delegates will:

• understand the concepts of responsible sourcing
• be able to start mapping out their supply chains
• appreciate the role of management systems in this context
• be able to see the value of responsible sourcing in BREEAM 2014
• produce an action plan to further develop responsible sourcing practices in their own businesses.

The session will be delivered by Responsible Solutions Ltd who have worked with some of the largest construction product manufacturers in the UK on responsible sourcing matters.
