Seminar 2 - Inflationary Risks and ESG considerations in a Post-Pandemic World
A seminar series from Trowers & Hamlins exploring recent developments in construction law where we offer practical tips and a guide to best practice on how to protect your commercial position and help minimise and resolve disputes on construction, engineering and infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.
In this second seminar in this series we shall be exploring whether you need to Inflation-Proof your contracts and what the benefits of adding 'green drafting' could be.
Michael Chilton will be taking an in-depth look at how parties can best protect themselves against inflationary risks during a construction project in order to protect your interests and help keep projects profitable and delivered to budget. Michael will be considering what is happening in the market and will explore typical fluctuation options and different approaches that can be considered to reduce inflationary risks within the industry, whilst also providing practical drafting tips and insights.
Jane Hughes will consider the increasing importance of well-drafted Environmental, Social and Governance clauses in construction contracts. She will discuss how to incentivise sustainable practices, the types of ESG clauses currently being used and the pitfalls to avoid.
Registration is at 4.30pm with the seminar beginning at 5.00pm. It will be followed by industry networking with drinks and nibbles.
