Mentoring: Secrets of Success Conference

For one day only, Westminster Business Council has exclusive use of the Cockpit Theatre, where we shall be bringing together business mentors, entrepreneurs and industry leaders, to share knowledge and experience.

This event will be an opportunity to:

-           network extensively

-           create business connections

-           hear about how mentoring can be the vital factor that takes your business

            to the next level

To celebrate the success of the first year of running the Westminster Business Council Mentoring Programme, we are holding a business conference on Wednesday 5 December, 10:00-13:30.

Speakers will include:

  • Lord Mayor of Westminster

Elected in 2002 to Westminster City Council, Angela Harvey became Lord Mayor this May.  From 2008-2012 Angela chaired the Built Environment, Enterprise & Volunteering Policy & Scrutiny Committee, taking specific interests in planning and infrastructure, preparedness for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

She has enjoyed a long and successful career in HR within blue chip companies, advising boards, chief executives and directors.

  • Andrew Bish, Director Local Government, Interserve

With a turnover of £2.3 billion, Interserve is one of the world's foremost support services and construction companies.  Interserve has pledged its support to a variety of start ups and SMEs through mentoring.  Andrew and his mentee Zaya Nubia will talk about their collective experiences of mentoring.

  • Neelam Meetcha, All Occasions Gift Wrap

Neelam started her family business over ten years ago whilst recovering from an illness when she was forced to take time off work.  She took her family business to a six figure turnover within the first year and hasn't looked back since. She found a gap in the market. No one was offering gift wrapping services, so started her creative business six years ago and works with some of the largest corporate brands.
