About Joanna
Jo is an Associate solicitor and advises on all aspects of employment law including discrimination, whistle-blowing, TUPE, redundancy, parental rights and employee terminations.
She has acted for public bodies, hotel groups, banks, charities and media companies, as well as senior executives and multiple claimants. Jo regularly trains managers and staff on employment matters, writes legal articles, and is the author of the Tolley's Employment Law textbook chapters on Sex Discrimination, Pregnancy and Maternity Discrimination, and Gender Reassignment Discrimination.
A Trustee of UK human rights charity Reprieve for a decade, and now Board Adviser to social enterprise Recruit For Spouses, Jo has been described by The Legal 500 as "efficient…provides sound advice".
Jo devised our innovative and progressive refresher courses for employment lawyers who are returning from parental leave, held at the Third Door work-hub and nursery, with onsite childcare provided for attendees' children. Recent delegates described the courses as "enjoyable, interesting and accessible"; a "really useful and forward-thinking initiative"; and "an excellent idea, perfectly pitched".
