Representative Profile

Jay is an archaeology specialist with more than 20 years’ experience supporting clients and contractors in the design and delivery of archaeology programmes for major infrastructure projects. He is the Managing Director of 4AD Consultants Ltd which he established in 2011 to deliver a bespoke and independent service to the construction sector.

Jay is a qualified archaeologist with a first class degree from University College London. He has developed a thorough understanding of the infrastructure sector through continuous development of methods for successfully integrating archaeology and construction from the early 1990s onwards. Through the design and supervision of numerous high profile projects, he is regularly asked to contribute to industry-wide policy, standard and guidance documents and authored several key publications including for the Highways Agency DMRB, CIRIA and CEEQUAL.
