Representative Profile

Andy is an experienced L8 risk assessor with a background in water and food microbiology. He has over 20 years’ experience in the field of legionella control and has worked as a laboratory scientist and manager, in various roles within the commercial water treatment industry, and as an independent consultant. Andy is a full member of the Water Management Society.

A retired rugby union player, I enjoy watching many sports and regularly attend my local rugby club as a spectator. I listen to a broad selection of music, from classical to punk rock and go to a lot of live music events. I am an avid reader, particularly of history (fact and fiction), and am also interested in environmental issues, travel, natural history and games of strategy.
