About Priya
Priya Sejpal - Partner, Real Estate Litigation at JMW Solicitors.
Personal Interests
Priya is a Partner with over ten years of experience practising property litigation, and commercial disputes in the UK.
Priya acts for multinational public companies, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and high net worth individuals, including prominent landlords and celebrities.
Priya’s area of expertise ranges from residential and commercial possession proceedings, obtaining and resisting orders for sale, commercial forfeiture, relief applications, service charge disputes, council tax issues, boundary disputes, planning disputes, trespass, right to light and adverse possession matters.
Priya also possesses an expertise in commercial litigation with vast experience in high value bankruptcy and breach of contract claims as well as complex construction matters having recently won a multi-million-pound construction commercial arbitration case. Priya has advocated in all sorts of court rooms and has had success even at in the Court of Appeal.
Priya was shortlisted for National Diversity Award in 2018, won an SME Legal Award in 2019 as best Litigator in the Southeast of England, and more recently, was listed in the Legal 500 directory as a Recommended Lawyer (2023).
Priya’s favourite pastimes are going to the gym, dancing, reading, acting (have performed at the Old Vic and the Almeida Theatre and having starred in BBC’s Grange Hill) watching podcasts and movies. She particularly enjoys exploring foreign territory lapping up the culture and education that comes with new places and faces.
