About Pratap
Having graduated with a BA in English Literature, I decided to follow my true passion and trained as a chef at Univerity College Birmingham (formerly Birmingham College of Food) and Thames Valley University.
I then worked my way through the kitchens of Gordon Ramsay Claridge’s, Chez Bruce, Cinnamon Club, The Orrery, Galvin Bistrot and The Peasant before taking a year off to travel and eat my way around the world.
Upon my return, I helped open Greenberry Café in Primrose Hill where my cooking received praise from the Evening Standard, Time Out and The Times.
Though soon after Nikhat & I got married and we both decided to do something together (mainly so that I could leave behind 80-100 hour working weeks behind and actually spend time with Nikhat). I hit on the idea of launching a food brand and starting a personalised/bespoke catering service whilst on honeymoon in Mozambique.
That Hungry Chef soon fell into place.
