Representative Profile

I am a partner in the Construction, Engineering, Infrastructure and Energy team at Spencer West.  I have over 20 years’ experience of a wide variety of large social infrastructure projects, renewable energy projects, local government outsourcing contracts, general commercial contracts and privacy and compliance in private practice and in industry.

I worked for ten years in private practice in the projects department at Bevan Ashford Solicitors in Bristol and in the projects team at Addleshaw Goddard LLP in London as a qualified lawyer working on PFI/PPP projects in a number of different sectors.  These have included health, defence, schools, road and rail.  I have acted for many public sector clients and also for funders, developers and  sponsors.

After leaving private practice, I spent almost five years as a Senior Commerical Manager at Balfour Beatty Investments Ltd.  This role was very varied and involved being part of a bid team on a number of large tenders.  I spent time on secondary school accommodation projects and helped to win one of the largest Building Schools for the Future projects at the time.  My interest in renewable energy projects also meant that I worked on two large municipal energy from waste projects and several biomass projects and renewable energy is still an area that we are aiming to grow at Spencer West.

Prior to joing Spencer West, I spent five years as a consultant working for a number of different businesses including developers, banks, energy supply companies and chemical companies and undertook a lot of general commercial work along the way too.

I am a reasonably fluent French speaker as I love languages and have spent time in France.  I am also currently in my final year of a diploma in Counselling and Psychotherpy due to my interest in self-development and psychology.
