Representative Profile

I founded Sakura with the idea that many 'traditional' accountancy practices were not able to offer the commercial and practical advice that entrepreneurs and SME’s require in terms of growing their businesses.

In particular, I felt growing businesses should be applying many of the same financial tools and commercial guidance available to larger businesses, but just at the appropriate level to their own needs at their stage of development.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA), having originally qualified in practice in Dublin before gaining significant UK and international experience. I have 15 years of experience working at a senior level in both privately owned and private equity backed international businesses within the SME sector, more recently in London and previously in Ireland, Australia and the Isle of Man. Sectors included publishing/media, financial services, property, event management, recruitment and oil & gas.
