As a qualified lawyer and heritage expert, Jennifer is able to appreciate a widerset of issues beyond conservation and aims to bring a sense of pragmatism toprojects. She has also provided consultancy services to Local PlanningAuthorities and is familiar with the conflicting priorities and the demand forquality design a project may involve. She has advised on a wide range ofheritage projects, from tall buildings in Acton and Vauxhall to the extensionand refurbishment of a number of high value residences as well as theredevelopment of heritage assets for residential and commercial use. Jenniferhas also worked with a number of the national housebuilders on large mixed-use schemes not only in London and the South East but nationally.

Jennifer is part of a leadership team providing nationwide specialist heritage advice where development may affect the significance of a heritage asset. Her approach is based on understanding the heritage asset and working with clients, architects, local authorities and statutory consultees to promote and manage change in the historic environment.

With a background as a commercial lawyer, further trained to specialise in the historic environment, she is able to balance heritage effects against wider planning and financial considerations to ensure that a robust case can be made for development.
